Subject	Do body shops remove rear glass when painting hatch?

Message	I'm getting my rear hatch repainted ( due to fading Aztec Red paint). Do you normally have to remove the rear glass to paint the hatch? Can you just remove the rubber trim without removing the glass and get a good paint job along the edges where they meet the glass ?
